Are you interested in newborn photography, but you’re worried about the cost? I get it; newborn photography can be expensive, and it’s important to understand why. Let’s talk about it!

I’m Danielle! I’m a New Jersey newborn photographer. I remember when my twins were born. They were 9 weeks premature and spent quite a few weeks in the NICU. I was lucky enough to have a newborn photographer right in the hospital who took their pictures before they went home. I remember thinking to myself “I don’t need newborn pictures taken. I can just take a ton of pictures on my own with my cell phone. (This was before I was a photographer.)” When the photographer showed me the images she captured, I was completely blown away. I purchased the entire gallery on the spot, no questions asked. Why am I telling you this story? Because I know the true value of newborn pictures and how much you’ll cherish them forever.

Newborn photography requires a specialized skill set and experience

As a newborn photographer, I’m not just a skilled photographer, but I also have a deep understanding of what it’s like to be a new mom. As a mama of twins, I know how precious these moments between you and your baby are. I know how to work with low light situations, respect your privacy and intimacy, and most importantly, I know how to capture the moments that matter most.

Newborn photography takes a lot of time.

Newborn sessions can last anywhere from one to two hours. I always allot 2 hours for newborn sessions because I know it can take time to calm the baby, soothe the baby, or feed the baby. After the newborn session, I’ll often spend several hours editing and processing the photos to ensure that the final product meets my highest standards and your expectations.

The cost of newborn photography includes more than just the time spent at the session and editing the photos.

It also covers the cost of professional-grade camera equipment, including cameras, lenses, lighting, and editing software. Additionally, I bring clothing, swaddles, and accessories to all of my newborn sessions which add to the value of the finished product.

How much is newborn photography in YOUR CITY?

The cost of a newborn photographer can vary depending on experience and the services and products offered. On average, you can expect to pay anywhere from $300 to $1,500 for a newborn photography package that includes digital files with a print release (which means the ability to print an unlimited
number of images at the lab of your choice).

Having a baby is a life-changing experience that you’ll never forget, and having professional photos to look back on can help you remember all the emotions, details, and love that surrounded you during that special time. These photos are not just for you; they’re a gift to your child. They’ll show them how loved and welcomed they were from the very beginning, and these images will be cherished by you, your child, and your family for generations to come.

Newborn photography may seem expensive, but it’s an investment in preserving memories, celebrating life, and honoring the newborn process. So, if you’re considering newborn photography, know that it’s worth every penny and more!

EXPLORE SERVICES

My name is Danielle. I started Danielle Stio Photography in 2021. There is something about being an entrepreneur that really motivates me. This is more than a hobby for me. It is a passion and a calling.
I started this business at a very dark time in my life. I was searching for meaning and purpose and I found that through photography. My hope is that I can put a smile on my clients faces not only during their session , but after their session; and especially when their gallery is delivered.
