Hi there! Are you looking to get photos taken at Sandy Hook Beach this summer? If so, you’ve come to the right place. I’m Danielle! I’m a New Jersey family photographer & I love taking photos on the Jersey Shore. In this blog, I highlight why Sandy Hook Beach is a great place to take photos this summer!
Reason # 1 – It’s the Closest Beach (for some people)
Sandy Hook is a great option for people that live in Northern or Central New jersey who don’t want to travel too far down the Jersey Coast. Sandy Hook is technically the northern most beach in New Jersey so it’s a great option for people coming from up north.
Reason # 2 – It Has A lot of Options
Sandy Hook is considered a state park and contains a lot of “little beaches” within the park limits. This is great because there are a lot of choices depending on what you are looking for. There is a lighthouse at the far end which looks amazing in photos. There many beaches with sand dunes and large rocks which also make incredible backdrops. There’s also a little restaurant called The Mule Barn Tavern on one of the beaches if you want to grab a bite to eat before or after your photo shoot. So if you want options, Sandy Hook is your best bet.
Reason # 3 – Amazing Sunests
This is by far my favorite reason why Sandy Hook Beach Photos are amazing. There is a bay where you have an amazing view of the sunset. Since New Jersey is on the East Coast, we miss out on amazing sunsets over the water. However, if you find a beach with a bay facing west; you get a beautiful sunset over the water. I love Sandy Hook has that option. A bonus is that it’s only a short walk across the street to access the bay. So when I take clients’ photos, I always start on the beach & then take a quick walk over to the bay to capture the sunset.
So that’s it! Those are my top 3 reasons why Sandy Hook Beach photos are the best. Sandy Hook Beach Photos: New Jersey Photographer
Newborns
Newborn sessions are taken in the comfort of your own home. Sessions are scheduled one - three weeks after the baby's birth. Photos include the whole family and are mostly candid. Little props are used.
maternity
Maternity Sessions are taken between 28-34 weeks. Sessions are taken at golden hour (one hour before sunset.) Poses include individual images of the mama to be, and poses with a spouse/partner.
families
Family sessions are taken at golden hour (one hour before sunset). Poses are mostly candid & organic; although some posed images will be sprinkled in.
